My 40-Day Focus Workbook....

...has been finished and I'm ready to start Patrick Carnes' 90-Day Focus. I've passed my 40-Day Workbook off to my therapist to take a look at. So I've got some new exercises to assist me in my recovery. I've got another daily meditation book to look at every day. I've also got a preprinted spreadsheet to keep me on track, by giving myself daily scores for different activities, such as Meditation, attending SAA meetings, exercising, going to therapy, behaviors in different circles. I've also got to score myself for my Personal Craziness Index and my Positive Sexual Focus. They've each got a scale of 0 to 7. The PCI has 7 different activities that put me in a bad place. You get a point for each activity you participated in that day. So the optimal score would be a 0. The Positive Sexual Focus also has 7 activities in measuring my sexual activities. Again, a point is awarded for each activity but the optimal score here is a 7, signifying I've got myself focused in the right way. I'm sorry to say but I do not have my list of activities for these yet. I have to get that done but I don't want not start on this 90-Day Focus program because of that not being done.

To also assist during this 90 day focus, Patrick Carnes recommends the book, "The Artist's Way". It has some journaling exercises to do, which would be very helpful in clearing my mind of a lot of junk and get it back to focusing properly. The first exercise the book suggests is to start every day with a 3 written page "dump" of whatever is on your mind. I'm really not opposed to hand writting anything, but because I am trying to put my life and recovery in an online journal, I will be do my "daily dump" here instead. If I cannot think of anything to write, I am allow to write "I've got nothing to write" over and over again. I can write about meaningless things if I want or something thoughtful if I want. I just have to write at the start of every day.
